I. AD GUIDELINES

1. ‚Tydzień Polski’ (The Polish Weekly)

  • The following charts show the relative size of the most commonly requested space sizes available in the newspaper.
  • Many other sizes and shapes are available on request.
  • The grid shows the standard 5 column format of the newspaper (each column is 5 cm width). This applies to all advertising.
  • Space sizes are described by their number of centimeters in height across the number of column widths. The smallest size of ad is 5 cm x 1 column (5 cm).

3. Discounts

All media agencies have a standard 10% discount.

III. DEADLINES

• If the Advertiser fails to meet deadlines, the Advertiser shall be charged with full cost of the display advertisement.

 

IV. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. We ask for the delivery of the advertisement in files (in a digital form) via e-mail: ads@tydzien.co.uk
  2. File format: PDF, TIFF, EPS
  3. Files requirements:
    • All texts must be overtly converted into curves, all fonts should be embedded.
    • The graphic materials should have a minimal resolution: 300 dpi.
    • The maximal total of the CMYK components can be 240%
    • Minimal font size: mono – 6 points, colour – 8 points
    • We recommend using the smallest possible number of CMYK colours in small graphic elements or text. Black graphics elements should consist only of 100% “black”.
    • With coloured printing with cold-set technology, the tolerance for colour matching is 0.5 mm. To avoid an effect of blurred and illegible text, please do not set inscription, especially with a small degree, from several colours.
  4. Size of advertisement: The physical size of the image of an advertisement has to correspond to the advertisement space ordered and according to the Publisher’s standards.
Advertising Department is not responsible for the quality of the ready-to-print material if it does not comply with technical requirements. They will be published at the risk of the Advertiser.
